Optometrist
MD24 House Call is a unique and innovative multi-specialty house call practice. An industry-leading network of house call doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners that are dedicated to improving the quality of life for our elderly patients in the comfort of their own homes. Our unique model allows you to spend more time with patients and provide excellent patient care. our average patient load will be eight to ten patients a day, while averaging 130k - 180k per year on a full time basis. Position is Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, flexible scheduling, and full benefits for full time employees.
MD24 House Call covers your malpractice insurance including a tail policy. You will have access to a support staff; Registration, Scheduling, Billers/Coders, Insurance Verification, and Medical Assistants.
Job Requirements:
Examine eyes, using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness.
Analyze test results and develop a treatment plan.
Prescribe, supply, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids.
Prescribe medications to treat eye diseases if state laws permit.
Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors.
Consult with and refer patients to ophthalmologist or other health care practitioner if additional medical treatment is determined necessary.
Remove foreign bodies from the eye.
Provide patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as cataract and laser vision correction, with pre- and post-operative care.
Prescribe therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision.

Qualifications:
Prefer Board Certification/Eligible.
Current and in good standing Licensure for practicing as an Optometrist (OD) in the State of Arizona.
Desire 1-2 years of experience working as an Optometrist (OD).
Experience with electronic health records (EHR)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
